$ 51 billion industry

51 billion dollars and rising! Sounds like a company a wise investor should invest in. After all, having a piece of a $ 51 billion industry is an exciting prospect, filled with anticipation for the future right? Not this time. This industry takes away all hope for the future. Any promise of potential greatness is dashed to the ground, becoming ashes and dust when people continue to invest in this business.

The notices were issued during the years of advising people to avoid investing in this sector worldwide. People still chose to buy the stock - some one share at a time, others in large quantities. Whenever you invest a single dollar in this society, you do not participate in destroying their own lives as well as the dreams and aspirations of others. Family and friends still have the role of unwitting participants.

The government has taken a position, as well as various groups in the world, making it harder for people to invest in this company. People still chose to ignore the signs that will lead to their own death. They continue their dangerous path of destruction. Why? Why do well educated human beings choose a path that is known to cause anguish and despair, to be part of the 51 billion dollar industry?

This business is not elusive enough of our hard earned money? As well as our personal blood, sweat and tears? I'm sure you're probably asking yourself "What industry can possibly be writing?" Perhaps you would like to know if you somehow missed the hundreds of alerts that are issued every year about this industry. Well here's the answer: Have you ever got behind the wheel of a vehicle with any alcohol, even one drink in your system? If you have, then you've invested in the club of 51 billion dollars.

It is estimated that every year 51 billion dollars are spent on alcohol related incidents. During 2003 (NHTSA 2004a), 17,013 deaths occurred in the U.S. alone due to alcohol impaired drivers. 2,136 of those deaths were children under 14 years. These investors have killed the future. This represents almost half of all traffic-related deaths in the U.S.

Most of those killed were innocent bystanders, not the impaired driver. It is, after all, what it is ... murder. Vehicular manslaughter. Vehicular Homicide. You can put whatever name you want in this criminal action to help lesson the burden of blame, but the fact is that knowingly got behind the wheel of what turned out to be a killing machine and killed.

Although the judicial system defines it as such, such actions can also be compared to the Degree Murder. Just look at the definitions for a moment. Taken directly from lawforkids.org, first-degree murder is defined as "killing another person or with intent or knowledge that the conduct will cause death and with premeditation. Premeditation is often described as 'malice aforethought' This basically means you probably considered the consequence of his conduct for at least a second before you committed the act. "

With all the education available, those who drink and drive know the possible consequences of their actions before they get into their vehicle to drive. Yet, even turns on the engine, gearbox in first gear and go.

Why do we allow the death toll of this activity to continue? Several years ago they used the excuse "There but for the grace of God, go" to turn a blind eye to the problem. That's about the time I discovered that the second member of my family, my sister was killed in an alcohol-related accident. (The jurors were in line with the driver of the vehicle, thinking back to times when he got behind the wheel of their car after having a "drink or two.") Pilots in all these cases, dropped with a warning or a light sentence .

Since then I lost another 5 members of my family and friends of these murderers. Lest you think that these are mere statistics are quoting for you, I want to give names to my data: Rosie (my cousin, 28 and a mother of a baby in the car at that time), Janet (my sister, "twin" and best friend 22), Marsha (my cousin, 25 and the mother of a fifth year old car at the time) and Lisa (my counselee, 12) as the mother (36) and his brother Jonathan (8). What's more, a weekend is the count of my family is gone again.

Natasha, 16, was on his way to his ball in the winter. A drunk driver crashed into the side of his vehicle, instantly killing her and turning her boyfriend into a quadriplegic. Thanks to another driver who has chosen to join the Billion Dollar Club 51. This driver has had his sentencing hearing yet.

How can we stop the carnage? Security forces stepped up its efforts to reduce DWI, the creation of sobriety checks and adding stiffer penalties for both drivers had been drinking and establishments in criminal and civil cases have flooded the courts. Education has been tripled and pamphlets are sent with our annual registration.

There are agencies that offer free rides to any driver who calls them in need of transportation after drinking. There is a chance to sleep in your car, spending 55 cents on a phone call, if you do not have a phone handy, or paying $ 69.00 at Motel, where if all else fails. Yet this is obviously still not enough to divert some people to get behind the wheel and take the life of another innocent victim.

So what's the answer? Actually, I do not know. But I know what will help. Heart broken by a member of these senseless tragedies, I'm going to do what I can to get more tax to all vehicles that need to have ignition interlock systems installed on them.

Interlock systems are currently used for repeat offenders in many states throughout the United States, but we need a change from light punishments and warnings in prevention. I believe that installing these units on all new vehicles sold and need to be installed on any vehicle used in the U.S. (a check could be made during smog inspections to see that the law was obeyed) Would save taxpayers court costs and billions insurance companies of dollars every year. More importantly, it would save family and friends the devastating loss of another innocent victim and another trip to the morgue to identify their loved one.

For those of us who do not drink and drive, will be a minor annoyance. For those who do drink and drive, they will fight any measures that their lifestyle inconvenience irresponsible and potentially deadly. Think a little 'back to the question of safety belts. Many opposed the seat belt law came into effect.

But we were forced to wear our seat belts? Since most people did not do so voluntarily, and the number of accidental deaths and near fatal injuries that could have been avoided was so shocking that the government decided to intervene and intervene on our behalf. The deaths and injuries were senseless. The same applies here. Drinking and driving is a senseless and often times unfairly punished crime.

You do not want to join me in this fight? Do not let the next phone call you get from the hospital late at night will tell a loved one has been injured in a drunk driving accident. Do not let the knock on the door at 3 am to be a police officer that indicates a loved one has just been killed in an alcohol-related death. What price would you be willing to pay for your son or daughter, brother or sister, mother or father? Forever is a long time. Are you willing to pay the price for the company 51 billion dollars? Think of ignition interlock systems and contact your state officials - put the pressure on them. Let them know that will not stay for the rules of the Billion Dollar Club 51 more.

Christmas - The Broken Tradition Families who left Smiling

The cheerful holiday season is upon us once again, Christmas a time of happiness / Turkey / mulled wine and crackers. These are just some of the traditions that are accepted in this time of year from people on Christmas Day celebrating the birth of our Lord.

Following this great day so we have the task of putting into effect the resolutions of our new year is just so that we can break, just another tradition, where the vows and promises are made.

Traditions are there for the benefit of memory, you have the person who abides by the rules and then there are others who want to do things a bit 'different.

Anyone or any type of person you are tradition is tradition.

Substituting turkey legs with a plate of pork on the menu for Christmas is another Christmas tradition broken. Remember to pay attention more, I invite you for dinner the day if your feet are flat on the day Porky.

Christmas idea

A great way to keep family solidarity forever for generations to come when you give your loved ones is to give each member a piece of jewelry identical symbolizing unity. It 's a fabulous way to bond and show the world that blood is thicker than water

Let's go back in time when the clan tartans indicated that belonged. Cherokee Indians / etc Apaches have expressed their identity by tribal or other headgear colored symbols. So why not bring your tribe / clan right there along with the identities in the form of a piece of gold or silver.

Make New Year's resolution today and go in search of the symbol, which will be acknowledged and passed on to future generations, so doing another tradition is broken, but if it brings happiness, what the hell.

Unison, the prevailing form of your own brand of jewelry where the ring symbol chosen / chain sends a message to the world that this family with pride, as it were, United We Stand.

Jewelry gifts can be made extra special by designing your own. Jewellers can take your ideas and work with them as miracles to put you and your family on the map with its own brand.

The greatest gift Enduring

As the holiday season swings into overdrive, many of us once again agonize over the perfect gift for the holidays our loved ones. No matter the budget, no matter the list, the dying is an annual ritual. One of the first preschool teachers my children 'had the idea best gift of all. He said that no matter what you give them, be sure to give your kids some memories. When it comes down to it, the memories are one of the few things you can count on lasting.

I keep thinking about that little 'advice as I remember the best Christmas when my children were small. In the classical tradition family, were all comfortable in their beds. I just finished my holiday cleaning. Each decoration was perfect, all the gifts were wrapped neatly and truth be known, Santa had already stopped.

Then, as fate would have it, the dog needs to go outside. I knew it was not even raining until they trot back in through the kitchen, leaving a trail of muddy paw prints light shinning on my floor cool. I watched with disbelief the muddy paw prints. They brought to the table where Santa's case were still pending. And then, in a flash, I took a bowl, trot right in the rain and picked up my game just mud newly minted.

I thought for a moment, wondering exactly what the prints looked like a reindeer. Then I realized that since nobody in my family had ever seen them not even the only thing that mattered was that they should be different from the dog. I started the tracks at the door and planted a little muddy paw prints three fingers right next to the dog's prints. I went all the way up at the kitchen table, and then the door again.

Then I pulled out a piece of paper and wrote:

"I'm so sorry, but Rudolph has seen the snacks on the table and he came behind me tracking mud everywhere. I feel sorry for the mess.
Merry Christmas,
Love Santa
PS Thanks for snacks. "

Then I got some really good bite out of some carrots and place the stems back on the plate next to what remained of Santa's cookies.

Of course, the boys find the note and the first reindeer I got muddy chaos. They rushed to wake up and tell me that Rudolph had done for me and please do not be angry with him for ruining my clean floor. Santa was really disappointed. He also left a note.

What were the gifts that Christmas? I have not a clue. But the kids ask about the time Rudolph has dissolved into the house and tracked mud across the kitchen. They will tell you and I still remember their faces and emotions over the misadventures of errant reindeer of Santa Claus. They will never forget and I will not either.

Christmas was suddenly alive, the magic was real and lived. Years later they asked me about this event and how it happened. Gilmore tracking mud on her own floor just mopped never thought of them. And so they believed. If there was ever a shred of doubt in their mind, is gone and Christmas is born again.

You never know when your magic moment might come. Our best ever Rudolph muddy mess. Each has a similar story, and if they do not have certainly should. My mother told me that she was a child all comfortable in bed, late Christmas night, he heard sleigh bells in the dark outside his window, and she believed. If I ask about it today, she will tell you the bells of the past as if it were only yesterday.

This year, if you can, just for a moment, put the holiday frenzy into oblivion where it belongs. It's Christmas. The most enduring gift of all. Keep the magic alive. Leave a memory.

Angels and UFOs: are they animals?

It is a simple idea: If foreigners can cover interstellar distances, there must be more advanced. If they are more advanced to what?

Well, it's physically impossible to drive a metal object faster than the speed of light. You should get around the known laws of physics. To send a metal ship to another star using conventional fuels and would take decades to exhaust the resources of planet Earth. Science fiction becomes inventing around this 'warp drive' and 'wormhole technology'.

I do not believe that the alien visitors, if any, come in metal spacecraft, but we'll get to later.

It follows that if I came here, I am * so * more advanced than us. And there follows an interesting question, just how much?

If they are against us, as we are, say, a wild dog, then the UFO phenomenon makes sense. We can barely understand what we are seeing: strange lights, odd indentations in the ground, strange experiences.

A wild dog suddenly heard a loud bang. One of his pack falls mysteriously, and still poses, and dies. Feels and smells a truck in the distance, then sees the lights: the _hell_ is that?

Reaction: panic, curiosity or dismissal.

If alien beings are coming here to do what? Because we are a threat, curiosity, to help us, or because we have something they want? A little 'as the soldiers, scientists, missionaries and merchants to go to the Third World, in that order. And we know what happens to the locals when _that_ happens!

Then we have the phenomena of angels, higher beings mysteriously turning up to lend a hand Man I'm a completely different and separate phenomena, or is it only occasionally overlap?

An answer may have been supplied by Dr. Stylianos Atteshlis called Daskolos author Kyriacos Markides in the series of books he has written about this great greek Cypriot.

In short, he considered there were foreigners, and there were angels and were distinct beings. What was interesting was that he claimed that the visitors were highly advanced interplanetary mystical stranger who could travel in space, dissolving their bodies before starting materials, and recreate their arrival. They were not really traveling on the plane.

This bypassed the disadvantages of a physical object moving in three dimensional space. It also explains, for example, lights moving very fast that pilots sometimes see, and why UFOs do not leave a trace.

Advanced Terran mystics can sense the angels of the Lord. Can be visited, or visit, advanced beings from other planets. The rest of us have odd experiences can not be explained, and to keep silent about them.

This explains the lack of hard scientific evidence for both: they are operating at a different level from us, are unlikely to leave physical marks, not requiring scientists from turning on demand, and urged him to put it!

The dog waits for his master at the same time every day, but often does not arrive, for reasons that the dog can not begin to imagine. Sometimes the owner does not confusing things, but it provides food, society and seems to take care of the dog so the dog is content. He explained the man himself as powerful, having some dog-like behavior, it is worth keeping in with, and strange.

One caveat: you can not discount mental illness, misperception or fraud in a person who claims experience of UFOs and angels. The crucial test is whether they are clearly superior or saint. The abundance of 'evidence' supplied by those who are not easily confused real phenomena, and scoffers content.

Treat holiday traditions around the world

When the holidays come around, it always seems as if there are features galore! The stores quickly fill with egg nog, wasail ingredients and chocolate shaped into almost any shape imaginable. But this year, but it looks like the more traditional holiday deals to spice up your meetings. Focusing on traditional and meaningful instead of the gaudy and commercial, you may find that you introduce your family and friends is that both love to eat and discuss.

In Austria, families traditionally spend Christmas Eve together, starting the evening with a church service. Following church, gather for a traditional dinner. While their main course of Gebackener Karpfen, or fried carp, may not suit the imagination of all, their sweet Sachertorte can actually. Sachertore is a chocolate cake and apricot, the richness of the pie is determined by the depth and quality of chocolate used. The cake is then frosted with chocolate frosting Traditionally, creating a delicious treat for almost every taste.

When reached on December 6 in Germany, is celebrated the evening with Santa Claus to come to all children. To the good children get a shoe or boot full of delicious chocolates, biscuits and other delicacies. This only starts the holiday season. On Christmas Eve, each family member receives a plaque of all types of trafficking, including fruit, nuts, marzipan, chocolate and biscuits. These traits are safe to bring sweet dreams for Christmas morning!

Mexico celebrates the holiday season with La Posadas, which marks the journey of Mary and Joseph from Nazareth to Bethlehem. As of December 16, this celebration takes place every evening with people going door to door, singing traditional songs and asking for the admission of Mary. When the door opens, and celebrates all children enjoy the tradition of the piñata. The Piñata is a colorful container made of a ceramic (traditionally) and paper (in modern times), filled with all sorts of care for children. One by one, children are blindfolded and try to hit the piñata with a stick. Finally, the piñata breaks, eating and celebrating all the delicious sweets and treats

And in France it is probably one of the most indulgent, the hooves. Traditionally, the sabots were wooden shoes that the peasants wore. On Christmas Eve, the children would put their shoes in front of the fire, hoping that hoof woke full of goodies. In modern France, however, wooden shoes are obviously not as prevalent. Instead, hooves are made of chocolate cake and filled with all sorts of sweets. Obviously, these are no longer together before the fire.

For your next holiday gathering, why not choose a theme traditional food is delicious and communicate knowledge about your guests. Will probably not thrilled to bring the bid vacation tired.
